Well, we thought we were on winter break until we came to the conclusion that there are now more options for locals when it comes to farmer’s markets and instead of bringing back or now adding another one in – let’s support all the farmer’s markets. In our lying slumber, we’re going to look into some educational ways to promote and share information on local fares and farmers as well as connect like-minded people together like, the great makers behind the artisan wares that represent local. Props to the supporters who helped make the Downtown FEED Market even possible… A BIG thank you to Fremont East Entertainment District and Azul Nightclub for opening their doors and donating the space, to Marilyn from Cowboy Trail Farm who went to the Health District with me to be my “robin’ and to the BEAT Coffeehouse for providing lunches and bento boxes, Maria Soto-Henry and her family, to Frank Elam, the El Cortez Hotel & Casino and to all the local farmers who participated and to all the great people who came to shop and all the other partners from the city of Las Vegas, the community and the media who were positive and helpful. May the beets be dropping where you’re shopping. See you around the dinner table or maybe a farmer’s market or two.
